Greetings from South West Surrey Farmers’ Markets! Below you can find the dates for this months fabulous farmers’ markets in Haslemere, Milford and Esher. With October being a 5 Sunday month, the dates for our farmers markets this month are slightly different. Please note that Esher & Milford farmers market are not on the same weekend this month.

Our traders and producers are looking forward to seeing you at the following markets in October:

• Haslemere: Saturday 7th October, 10:00 – 14:00
• Milford: Sunday 15th October, 10:00 – 13:30
• Esher: Saturday 21st October, 10:00 – 14:00

You can click through on the links above to see which producers will be at each market. Remember, for a lot of producers, you can click+collect on their websites to reserve produce to collect at the market. This was you don’t run the risk of your favourite products being sold out by the time you get the stall.

Producer Of The Month – Butler Country Estates

Each newsletter, we will feature one of our producers, giving you a behind the scenes look at their business and letting you get to know the people behind the produce. This month, it’s Butler Country Estates.

Butler Country Estates makes delicious smoked trout pate and fillets in the historic city of Winchester, in the heart of Hampshire. Our smokery lies within a few minutes of the River Test, Itchen and Meon, which are some of the finest nutrient-rich chalk streams in the world.

We use rainbow trout raised in Hampshire’s gin-clear crystal waters for our smoked trout pate, whole fish and fillets. Being so close to our smokery ensures a freshness which is exquisitely reflected in the taste of our pates and fillets. So much so that in 2020, we were awarded a Great Taste Star by The Guild of Fine Food, followed up with Two Stars in 2022.

You can find us every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at a market in Hampshire, Surrey or West Sussex either a town market, a Farmers’ Market or one of the many Food Festivals held in the South. You can find out by checking out our events calendar, so come on down, say hello and try a free taster of our smoked trout pate.

We bring a great selection of our smoked trout products to each market. We typically sell out everywhere we go, but you can guarantee your selection by pre-ordering with our click-and-collect service. Just select the market you would like to collect from during checkout.
